Exprentis signs contract to improve brokerage’s surveillance and investigation practices
Fairfax, Virginia, May 2014 – Exprentis Inc., a Virginia-based provider of compliance data analytics and knowledge engineering services, has signed a contract with a New York-based multi-national financial services firm to validate and optimize its case investigation and surveillance practices. Exprentis will conduct a review of the firm’s risk models and technology to ensure compliance with current industry regulations and offer recommendations for improvement.
“This is going to be an interesting project. Model optimization, validation discipline, and best practices in the Trade Surveillance area are not well developed like in other compliance areas, for instance AML Compliance,” stated Gaby Anaya, Exprentis’ Lead Business Analyst and a compliance expert with 20 years of experience with NASDAQ and FINRA regulatory practices. “Our customer is on the forefront of model governance and is setting the stage for more efficient compliance.”
